  • The Australian Camp known locally as ‘Thulo Kharka’ was a place used for grazing animals. It is reached by a 2 hr hike that starts from the village of Kande, where you arrive by a drive that provides a continuous scenic view of the hills and mountains. From Kande, the hiking trail starts with a beautiful view of the Pokhara Valley then passes through terraced fields, local settlements and quiet forest and finally leads you to the spread-out view of the whole Annapurna Range. The hikers will easily be able to spot the Annapurna South (7219m), Hiuchuli (6441m), Machhapuchhre (6993m) and Lamjung Himal (6983m). Further up on the hillside, colorful tents are set up which makes a quite nice place for taking pictures.
