  • Chisapani-Nagarkot Hike is Short Hike/Trek. This is an ideal hike/trek for those who wish to enjoy their short holiday with nature and typical Nepalese village life.  This hike/trek starts with an hour ride to hike start point Sundarijal. We will pass the main water dame for Kathmandu and go on through Shivapuri National Park until you reach Chisapani village. Chisapani is a small settlement of Brahmin, Gurung, and Sherpa with a fantastic landscape view of Nuwakot district and Langtang mountain Nagarkot also very popular for the sunrise, sunset, and panoramic view of the Himalayas. 

    Highlights: 

    • Encounter and interact with local people during the trail.
    • Pleasant nature walks in the Shivapuri National park with beautiful birds’ chirping. 
    • See different kinds of wild animals on the trail.
    • Views of Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Jugal Himal, and Gaurishankar Himal ranges
    • 1 : Kathmandu - Chisapani via Sundarijal

      After your breakfast drive to Sundarijal on the private vehicle (approx.an hour) from Kathmandu city centre. You have to register and pay the entrance fees to start your hiking through the beautiful Tamang village ‘Mulkharka’. Approx.4-5 hours of hiking we will be reaching Chisapani. Refresh and evening walk around the town and enjoy the mountain view. Overnight at the local lodge.

    • 2 : Chisapani- Nagarkot

      After your breakfast, we will start our hike from Chisapani to Nagarkot via Lapsephedi. After 5-6 hours of the hike, we will reach Nagarkot, View sunset. Accommodation will be a local lodge. you will have your lunch at Lapsephedi and dinner at Nagarkot.

    • 3 : Nagarkot-Kathmandu via Bhaktapur

      After breakfast, we will start or hike to Bhaktapur. The hike between Nagarkot and Bhaktapur is mostly downhill! It's an easy and popular short hike around the Kathmandu Valley, we'll pass through attractive villages and farmland. After hiking down for 2-3 hours we will reach Bhaktapur. The Nagarkot to Bhaktapur hike ends at the UNESCO World Heritage Site village of Bhaktapur where you can enjoy a rooftop lunch and a Bhaktapur Durbar Square tour. In the evening drive to Kathmandu and drop up at SASANE homestay or Hotel.

    • A Pair of Sticks Can Prove Useful, Especially To Help Keep Your Balance on Slippery Ground
    • Choose Boots With Good Tread For Better Traction.
    • Invest In Breathable Technical Clothing to Avoid “The Sauna Effect”  & use light and easily dry clothes (select full sleeve pants)
    • Protect Your Backpack Inside As Well As Outside

     

    • Remember To Keep Yourself Hydrated And Bring Plenty Of Water. However, Drink Just Sip Of Water But Frequently To Avoid Dehydration (Drinking Too Much At Times Gives You Pain In The Stomach)
    • Hiking backpack: There are three main areas where you’ll need to make choices:
    • Backpack capacity: The size pack you’ll need is tied to the length of your trip and how much weight and bulk you want to carry.
    • The backpack features: These are the refinements that affect how the pack works for you.
    • Backpack fit: Torso length, not your height, matters most.
    • Stretching your legs and body parts before and between the hike
    • Eat light and healthy foods( avoid packet & junk foods)
    • Give attention to Sun protection (wear full sleeve T-shirt, sunscreen, hat/cap)
    • The leg injury is very likely to occur, use ankle shoes with proper grip.
    • Wear light and easily dry clothes (select full sleeve pants)
