Chitlang is a typical Nepali valley surrounded by hills, rice fields and vegetable patches. It is an ancient Newari town containing many temples with amazing wood and stone carvings, artistic rest houses, stone taps, and old inscriptions which are a mark of the civilization. The Chitlang Organic Village Resort located here is famous for its pear garden and the special local pear wine that is produced over there. Other important places include the oldest Cheese factory of Nepal, and several temples. There are also large meadows to graze the cattle around the village.
This trek offers an amazing experience with the combination of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Chitlang offers visitors an opportunity to get an insight of the rural life in Nepal.
