After short boat ride, we will reach at the center of the Lake where the religious Hindu temple, Taal Barahi, is situated. The Temple holds great value of Hinduism. The history of the temple and religious habits related to the temple and Nepal will be explained to you by our experienced guide while showing you around the beautiful temple. Guests enjoying the view from World Peace Pagoda Then drive to Anadu Hill where after short stairs climb, we will reach Buddhist Pagoda Style Monument on top of the hill, well known as World Peace Pagoda. The World peace Pagoda is called ‘Shanti (Peace) Stupa’ in Nepali, a shrine that was built as a Symbol of Peace with relics of the Buddha on September 12, 1973 at the height of 1100 meters on top of the Anadu Hill. With a panoramic view of the Annapurna range, Pokhara City & Fewa Lake, it has become one of the most famous tourist attractions of Pokhara. Thereafter, visit to Devi’s fall & Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave. Devi’s fall is where the water forms a tunnel after reaching the bottom. This tunnel is approximately 500 feet (150 m) long and runs 100 feet (30 m) below ground level. This is one of the most visited places in Nepal. After exiting the tunnel, the water passes through the cave, Gupteshwor Mahadev or "cave beneath the ground". The cave is one of favorite tourism site because it has complex designs and people even forget the way inside the cave. In just five minutes’ drive from the cave, our SASANE sisters will be waiting for you to welcome at SASANE Sisterhood Homestay for ‘Mo:Mo’ Cooking Class The MoMo making class is part of SASANE Sisterhood of Survivor Program, an initiative that teaches trafficking survivors with minimal education valuable skills to work in Hospitality Sector. The women go on to gain future employment in the world of hospitality with stable income. They are free to lead liberated and dignified lives, thereby significantly reducing the risk of being re- trafficked or abused. The program highlights how we adress the social issues of rural communities through travel where you can experience the impact by the program and how your participation motivates and supports our sisters. At same time you will not only be taught the art of preparing a famous Nepali Dish, but also enjoy a delicious Nepali lunch with the SASANE Sisters, who will share their stories with you. All profit directly supports our SASANE Sisters by re-investing on training & workshops for at least 15 women survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and child marriage & also from underprivileged communities every year to help empower them. After the program, in about 20 minutes’ drive we will reach Historic Hindu Temple, Binda Basini Temple, from where Pokhara local market can be seen along with amazing mountain range.
