Ngadi is inhabited by Gurung ethnicity. According to the Gurung language "nga" means dhyangro and "tiy" means broken. It is called Ngadi village as one day on the occasion of ‘Makar Sankranti’ while the wizards were playing a dyango (Nepali musical instrument), it broke.
From Ngadi we will have around 1 hour of ride from Ngadi to Khudi, from here we start our trek. Instead of following the vehicle route we take an alternative walking path. Ghale Gaun view point is 5 or 10 mins far from the place you will be staying, from where you can witness spectacular view of Annapurna Himalayan Range, Ganesh Himal, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu Himal as well as the whole Ghale Gaun village landscape. After reaching Ghalegaun we will enjoy a cultural dance known as ‘Ghatu Naach’. There are two types of ghatu dance: ‘Satya Ghatu Dance’ (starting from Sri-Panchami and ending at Buddha Purnima) and ‘Baramashey Ghatu Dance’ ( on any occasion). Other dances include ‘Krishna Charitra Dance’ (when they give birth to the elder son) and ‘Jhyaure Dance’ (men and women, sing and dance together). All of these are organized by the local homestay communities.
We start our trek towards Bhujung passing through various small Gurung settlements, waterfalls and rhododendron forests with the view of beautiful landscapes. You can also see traditional houses made of stone slabs.
This day we will walk 5 to 6 hours to reach Pasgaun. The first one hour is downhill up to medium river and then 3 hours uphill to reach deurali and after 1 hour downhill we arrive at pas gaun. The trail passes through terrain fields, villages and jungle which is fascinating for all people. Pasgaun is a predominantly Gurung village rich in Gurung culture tradition. We will have overnight homestay at Pasgaun and we will enjoy local food and it will be our last night in Lamjung.
We start our drive towards Begnas Lake early in the morning after breakfast. At Begnas, you will enjoy boating along with local female boat drivers and learn their experiences. Then we drive back to Pokhara. O/N at Pokhara.
