This is an excellent trekking experience for people interested in the traditional Nepalese culture of the Gorkha homeland. The trail is easy i.e. safe and comfortable for all age groups and there are numerous opportunities for photography. This trekking route lies in the northern part of the Gorkha district in the lower Manaslu Region. The trek offers an excellent and panoramic view of the entire Annapurna range including:  Annapurna south, Annapurna II and III, Lamjung Himal, Dhaulagiri Range and Manaslu.

Manakamna is a sacred place of the Hindu goddess Bhagwati. The name Manakamana originates from two words, “mana” meaning heart and “kamana” meaning wish. So people believe it to be a wish fulfilling temple.

You will then visit the most historical place of Nepal; The Gorkha Durbar of Shah Kings. It was built in the 16th century and offers a perfect example of the Newari architecture of Nepal. This place also holds a special significance as the birthplace of Prithvi Narayan Shah. He established the unified Kingdom of Nepal and became the first king.Gorkha Durbar also has great religious importance and leather items like shoes, belts etc. are not allowed inside.
