Nepal’s Much Loved Cities’ Tour
Kathmandu (KTM), Pokhara (PKR) & Chitwan (CTN) are the cities you must visit if you are travelling to Nepal to know the variant of the country. These cities are much loved tourist destination that offers World Heritage Sites
showcasing Nepal’s Value & norms, Culture and History in Kathmandu, natural habitats of Rhinos, Spotted Dears, Gharial, Crocodiles, Leopard, Tigers and so on in Chitwan whereas Pokhara offers full of wondering Caves, Lakes and Mountain Views and offers adventurous activities including Paragliding and has its own style of amazing night life near Lakeside.
After completion of airport formalities, you will be greeted and assisted by our representative and will be transferred to Hotel at Nagarkot . Overnight at hotel.
Half day city tour begins after breakfast. Focusing on the culture and history of Nepal, the tour begins with a visit to Pashupatinath Temple, where you will see ‘Sadhus’ and people carrying out religious activities like Cremation. The tour continues to the worlds’ largest and oldest Buddhist monument; Boudhanath Stupas, where one can experience the true feeling of the Buddhist spirituality by lighting incense, butter lamps and praying like the locals. Then, dwell in the history of Nepal at the architectural marvel, Kathmandu Durbar Square learning about the Kings and the living goddess ‘Kumari’. Enjoy learning the Cooking Class-Momo demonstration by our sisters from Sisterhood of Survivors (SOS) after delicious Nepali Thali-lunch prepared by the sisters. Overnight at the Hotel. Things to do: -KTM City tour -Momo-making class with a presentation on SASANE’s work to tackle human trafficking -Enjoy sunset from the hotel at Nagarkot, one of the highest altitude hill in Kathmandu
Watch sunrise from the view tower of Nagarkot. After breakfast about 5.5 hrs drive to Chitwan or flight to Bharatpur (30mins) and 60 mins drive from the airport to the hotel. Rest of the day, enjoy the spa at the hotel or roam with the nature around the hotel. Overnight at the Hotel. Things to do: -Enjoy/participate in Tharu dance and get to know more about Tharu Culture in the evening -Rejuvenate yourself in spa at the hotel or roam around at the hotel
Early morning Jungle Safari via Jeep. Short break for light snacks near Rapti river in Chitwan National Park, one of the UNESO World Heritage Site. The park is home to 68 mammal species, Bengal Tigers, Leopard, Sambar Deer, Hog Deer, Sloth Bear (which has highest population density in Chitwan), Bengal Foxes, Golden Jackal, Honey Bagers, Peacocks and among may other species the park has been protecting one of the endangered species, The Greater One Horned Rhinoceros, with population of estimated 605 as of 2015. The park is also home to around 543 species of birds. This safari gives the travelers the opportunity to experience and observe these animals in their own habitat. Return to hotel and have breakfast. After Lunch, boating in Rapti River. During the boating, sights of crocodile near the river banks are common and if you are lucky, you may also see the sights of some endangered birds and animals. Short hike- Nature Walk (30 mins) to Nepal's Gharial conservation breeding center. There are different species of Gharial at the center. The program has help conserve the gharials. It has been taking care of hatchlings, monitoring growth of the hatchlings and releasing them into the rivers. After the trip to the Gharial Breeding Center, hike down to see the Elephant Breeding Center. Drive back to the hotel. Overnight at the Hotel. Things to do • Jungle Safari • Bird watching • Boating • Nature walk
After breakfast, drive or fly to PKR (40mins drive from PKR airport to Bengnas resort). Enjoy delicious organic lunch at Begnas Lake Resort. Boating in Begnas Lake. 1 hour drive to lakeside. Rest of the evening free. Overnight at Hotel nearby Lakeside Things to do: -Interact and experience sharing with one of the indigenous group ‘Bote’ female boat drivers. -Pamper yourself at the spa and relax. -Stroll around Lakeside in the evening
After Breakfast, drive to sarankot for Paragliding or visit Sarankot view tower. Halfday city tour to Phewa Lake, Taal Barahi Temple, Peace Pagoda, Devi’s fall & Gupeteshwor cave. Lunch at SASANE Sisterhood Homestay. Cultural dance show performance by our sisters. Free time for shopping and relaxing Things to do: • Half day city tour • Cultural dance show • Tibetan Refugee camp visit and interaction
