  • Poon Hill as the name suggests is a hill station perfect to see the Himalayan Ranges and the exceptional sunrise. This trail is safe and easy for all age groups. The Ghorepani Poonhill trek is the most popular trek in the Annapurna Region. This trek features panoramic views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges while immersing you in the unique culture and traditions of the Gurung and Magar villages.

    • Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

      You will be greeted and assisted by our female representative from the airport after completion of your airport formalities. After that, we will drive towards SASANE Homestay by our private vehicle. You will be welcomed by our sisters in a traditional way. Overnight in Kathmandu.

    • Day 2 : Kathmandu city tour

      Today we have a city tour to Pashupati Temple, Boudhanath, Kathmandu old market and Kathmandu Durbar Square. After the trip we will drive towards SASANE for lunch. Then we have a momo making class and a presentation on SASANE’s efforts to tackle human trafficking.

    • Day 3 : Drive towards Pokhara

      We will be driving towards Pokhara which is 6-7 hours drive by our private vehicle. In between we will stop at Kurintar and visit the Manakamana temple, which lies at a hilltop, including a 15-minute cable car ride that passes the river and goes up two ridges. Manakamana is a sacred place of the Hindu goddess Bhagwati. The name Manakamana originates from two words, “mana” meaning heart and “kamana” meaning wish. So people believe it to be a wish fulfilling temple. You will see the Magar settlement in this area and also have authentic Nepali lunch. Continuing the drive we reach Pokhara, where we will be welcomed by SASANE sisters in a traditional way.

    • Day 4 : Drive to Tikhe-Dhunga ‘1570m’ and trek to Ulleri ‘1960m’

      This day,we drive towards Tikhe-Dhunga and then hike to Ulleri. The trek lasts for 2 hours. Overnight in Ulleri.

    • Day 5 : Trek to Ghorepani ‘2840m’

      After breakfast, we trek towards Ghorepani for 5 hours. Spectacular views of Mt Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Himchuli, etc can be seen on the way. Overnight in Ghorepani.

    • Day 6 : Trek to Poonhill ‘3210’ and trek down to Tadapani ‘2610m’

      This day we wake up early in the morning to encounter the beautiful sunrise at Poonhill. Then we trek down to Ghorepani for breakfast and trek towards Tadapani. Overnight in Tadapani.

    • Day 7 : Trek towards Ghandruk ‘1940m’

      After breakfast, we will trek down to Ghandruk. Before dinner, we will be sharing experiences regarding the trek. Overnight in Ghandruk.

    • Day 8 : Drive to Pokhara

      This day we will end our trek from Ghandruk to Pokhara. We will have a farewell dinner and enjoy the cocktail party.

      We start our drive towards Kathmandu. On the way we will visit Bandipur, a place with Newari settlement. Here, you can explore the much preserved Newari culture and have Newari food for lunch. After that we will continue our drive to Kathmandu.
