  • The incredible Sikles trek is located to the north east of Pokhara, at about 2000 meters elevation. This trek leads you in the heart of typical traditional Gurung and other diverse ethnic villages. The trek combines great mountain sceneries and cultural diversity. This eco trail has been established by the ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project) as a model trekking village. Sikles village is possibly the second largest Gurung Ethnic village in Nepal, and is a well-preserved example of traditional Gurung culture and food. While here, the trekkers can easily spend several days experiencing local life-style, culture, traditions, handicraft production and sight-seeing. You also can explore the local cloth weaving and the ancient water driven flour mills and, folk songs and dances cultural performances are common events in Sikles village.Above the Ghalekharka village is Tara Hill Top, from where a marvelous panoramic view of the peaks of Annapurna II and Lamjung can be seen. This place is also famous as a point from 

    which to see avalanches thundering down off the mountain sides.

    • Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

      You will be greeted and assisted by our female representative from the airport after completion of your airport formalities.After that we will drive towards SASANE Homestay by our private vehicle.You will be welcomed by our sisters in a traditional way.Overnight in Kathmandu.

    • Day 2 : Kathmandu city tour

      After breakfast, we have a city tour to Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Kathmandu, Old market and Kathmandu Durbar Square. After the trip we will drive towards SASANE for lunch. After lunch,we have a momo making class.

    • Day 3 : Drive to Pokhara ‘827m’

      Pokhara is a tourist's paradise full of natural and cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, and temples of Buddhist and Hindu origin. Beautiful views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.

    • Day 4 : Drive to Bhujung Khola ‘1219m’ via Mardi Pool - Trek to Ghale Kharka ‘1669m’

      Today, after breakfast, we again drove about 1 hour from Pokhara to Bhurjung Khola. It is about 12 km far from Pokhara. Bhurjung Khola is on the lap of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. From Bhurjung Khola, we climb uphill to the Ghale Kharka where there are Ghale (Tamang) settlements. The majestic view of mountains can be seen from here. Overnight at a homestay in Ghale Kharka.

    • Day 5 : Trek from Ghalekharka to Tara hill Top ‘2700 m’

      After breakfast, we climb steeply uphill to Tara Hill. We go through the rhododendron forest. After 4 hours of continuous walk, we take our lunch and further go high up to the Tara Hill Top. Finally we hit the ridge of Tara Hill Top which is the vantage point for the close up view of Annapurna Range and Lamjung Himal. Overnight at Tara Hill Top in tents.

    • Day 6 : Trek from Tara Hill Top to Sikles Village ‘2000 m’

      After breakfast, we head downhill passing through rhododendron forest. The birds chirping and many small waterfalls along the trail makes our trek pleasant. As we keep heading downhill, we join the main trail to Siklesh leaving the off beaten track. After we take lunch in the small hut, we continue our trek gently downhill to Parje (Sikles). This is an attractive Gurung settlement. Overnight at homestay in Sikles.

    • Day 7 : Explore the Sikles Village

      After breakfast, we will visit the Gurung Cultural Museum. For lunch, you will get a chance to learn how to cook traditional Gurung food from the locals. Later we will explore the Sikles Village and see the day to day life of the villagers. In the evening, we’ll enjoy the program conducted by the Aama Samuha (Mother’s Group) who performs cultural songs and dances.

    • Day 8 : Trek from Sikles Village to Tangting Village ‘990m’

      After breakfast, we start our trek overlooking the Madi River with fine views of Annapurna II, IV and Lamjung range. Today, the trek is longer than the other days. Our walk ends at Tangting village. This village is also one of the beautiful Gurung villages. Overnight at Tangting.

    • Day 8 : Trek from Tangting to Yangjakot ‘930 m’

      After having breakfast, we trek down to the Yangjakot viewing the great landscape, adjacent hills and the scenic Mountain View. At Yangjakot, we will share our trekking experiences. Overnight at homestay in Yanjakot.

    • Day 9 : Drive back to Pokhara

      After breakfast, we will visit the local community leaders at Yangjakot and discuss about child marriage and other prevailing social issues. Later, we’ll take a bus to Pokhara, after a 2 hour drive we'll be in Pokhara. In the evening, you will have free time, so you can explore the Pokhara city and relax. At night we will enjoy the farewell dinner with a cocktail party. Overnight at SASANE homestay or hotel.

    • Day 10 : Drive back to Kathmandu

      After breakfast, we return back to Kathmandu by bus. It takes about 7 hours through the scenic rural settlements by the Prithivi Highway. We pass many small streams, terraced paddy fields; follow the Marshyangdi River and Trishuli River at the end. After our arrival in Kathmandu, we are transferred to the hotel. We will join for dinner in the Nepalese Restaurant with Nepalese cultural show. Overnight at Kathmandu
